A type of games that people these days really like and seem to enjoy are story-driven games. In some of these games you can have choice that will allow you to affect the story itself and the environment around you.


How can this type of games help a learner learn a language: 

It makes you feel responsible about the choices around you and how you have to be careful when you choose, because it will effect the characters feelings and what will happen to them. It’s like you build the ending of the story. So, how can these kind of games improve our language?! Well, while you are playing, you will face many troubles and obstacles which will then makes you think about how to solve them. Then, of course, you will try to understand how to fix them, if you fail and start from the beginning of the chapter your brain already knows how to solve it again and you will choose the right options. so, that makes you Learn by using thinking skills. Also, in some games you will have to help the characters of the story if they need some kind of items or material. besides, you will be immersed and interested enough to explore the world and what it offers for you as a player. You will learn a lot. for example, how to ask or talk to the characters, learn more vocabulary and how to express the situation wherever and whenever you are.
